Easy to Make Face Shield | TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA + TYD

we have covered the work of Tokujin Toshioka many times before, but here is one of these weird strange times.

I am grateful to the brave and dedicated healthcare workers for fighting the contagious disease.

I’d like to share my quick and simple face shield idea for emergency situation with shortage of medical supplies. It only takes 3 steps to create this face shield; put the template on top of a clear plastic sheet, cut them along the guideline, and attach it to your glasses.

I hope this can be of any help to healthcare workers.

‘Life, art, pandemic, and proximity’ brings public art back to Berlin

With so much of the art world shifting to online exhibitions, it may come as a surprise that a physical art show went up in Berlin this past weekend. The city is currently under lockdown until April 19, which prohibits gatherings of more than two people, and requires people stay 1.5 meters (about 5 feet) apart. In the installation, called Die Balkone: Life, art, pandemic, and proximity, artists mounted works of art on their balconies and street-facing windows, taking advantage of a middle-ground space between private and public life. Yes, a balcony is still a part of your home, but it’s also visible to the public from a safe distance. A built-in, underutilized showroom—if you want it to be.

100 Thieves makes its entire apparel line available in Animal Crossing

This gear won’t sell out.

Apparel drops from 100 Thieves, a lifestyle and esports organization, are notoriously hard to get in on. Whenever the company releases a new hoodie or jersey, it sells out almost immediately. But there’s a new way to get some 100 Thieves gear, and it’s not only easy, but cheap: download it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Today, the company released virtual versions of every single piece they’ve released to date, spanning three years. As with all user-created items in New Horizons, you can download the designs for free by entering the proper creator code; the codes for all the gear can be found here, organized by the year the items were first released in the real world.

Brand New: New Logo and Identity for Inner West Council by For The People

Established in 2016, Inner West Council is a local government area located in, as its name implies, the inner western region of (not implied) Sydney, Australia. The new council incorporates the former local government areas of Marrickville, Leichhardt, and Ashfield into a 14-square-mile (35-square-kilometer) area that is home to 195,000 residents that make up a “uniquely creative community with vibrant and diverse neighbourhoods living side-by-side in harmony”. Earlier this year, Inner West Council introduced a new identity designed by Sydney-based For The People.
