The new logo for the 2025 Expo was designed by a team led by graphic designer Tamotsu Shimada, who borrowed elements of the 1970 Expo and re-imagined them as chain of DNA. The ambiguous form and all its many cells are breathing, moving and dancing. It’s a design that will surely breath life into the Expo.

The Trinity Cube – Trevor Paglen

When the world’s first atomic weapon exploded in New Mexico in July 1945, the energy from the blast formed a new mineral called trinitite from the desert sand. For his 2015 Trinity Cube project, artist Trevor Paglen took irradiated glass gathered from the area around where the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster occurred in 2011 and combined it with trinitite to form a blue cube. He then installed the cube in the Fukushima Exclusion Zone to continue to be irradiated.

The artwork will be viewable by the public when the Exclusion Zone opens again, anytime between 3 and 30,000 years from the present.

Sure, for some people, a yoghurt-based drink doesn’t sound particularly appealing, especially when paired with a name that sounds like bovine urine.But Calpis remains popular in Japan and has been for over 100 years, with the company constantly coming up with fresh and creative collaborations.This year, Calpis has released limited edition summer Calpis Water bottles, with three unique designs all featuring charming illustrations of high school kids and their after-school life. But there’s also a mysterious instruction: “Once you finish the drink, a new illustration will appear.” What is this, Alice in Wonderland?

The person responsible for the beautiful drawings on the bottles is artist Rei Kato, who posted the full illustrations on their Twitter account.

Limited edition Ramen Pringles to be sold in Pringles vending machines in Japan

Make your hunt for this new Pringles flavor an adventure!

Much like KitKats, Pringles in Japan come in all sorts of limited-edition flavors like green curry, cheeseburger, eggs benedict, pizza toast, and more. It’s become one of those snacks that you constantly look for on the shelves to see what new flavors are available.

This time around, Pringles Japan is paying homage to the eastern Kanto region of Japan and its famous shoyu ramen made with a seafood dashi base. These Kanto Dashi Shoyu Ramen Pringles will be on sale in Japan starting July 27.
